The songs titles include “Who I Truly Am”, “Day By Day”, “Shadow”, “Eerie Sound”, “Ode To Rex”, “Too Close To See”, “No Escape”, “Midnight Westbound Train”, “Nothing’s Forever”, “Count On Me”.
The songs were inspired by events, challenges, successes and heartbreaks that permeated Justin’s journey from his early days as a teenager eager to master the art of songwriting to better communicate what he terms “the human emotions we all experience as humans striving to navigate the, at times, turbulent waters of our lives.”
“Who I Truly Am” tells of how one can learn about himself and what ultimately really matters.
“Day By Day” is the story of facing each day not knowing what each new day will bring so all one can do is to take it day by day.
“Shadow (Of What Used To Be Me)” looks with a tinge of melancholy at days gone by.
“Eerie Sound” takes us into a requiem of loneliness through emotive lyrics and thematic melodic arrangement.
“Ode To Rex” recounts the life, times, and passing of a beloved dog, not merely a pet but a member of the family.
“Too Close To See”. The lyrics tell of the emotional despair brought on by broken dreams that lead to the inescapable tragic end.
“No Escape” speaks of the inevitability each one faces and what is most paramount in the transition.
“Midnight Westbound Train” is a tale of a traveler contemplating lost chances and wrong turns taken along the road.
“Nothing’s Forever” is the realization, expressed in poignant lyrics, of the unavoidable reality.
“Count On Me” expresses the essence of friendship and what it truly entails.
